Make $100 Fast: 11 Proven Ways to Make Money Quickly
Looking to make $100 fast?
Maybe you just need that extra $100 to pay off an unexpected bill?
Or perhaps you just want to reduce your debt or have extra spending money?
What can you do when you’re short of time?
Below is a list of 25 ideas to make $100 quickly.
They’re not get-rich-quick schemes.
Some are easier than others. Some can be done online from home or in one day.
Many of these methods require little to no investment.
I’ve arranged them from the highest to lowest pay for your time.
The pay difference usually reflects the amount of active work required.
Don’t discount the ones that are a lower dollar amount per hour.
It might be the right fit for your lifestyle or situation.
For example, doing surveys is towards the bottom of this list.
It might be the best fit for your idle time e.g., waiting on the bus or if you’re a new mom breastfeeding.
25 Ways to Make $100 Fast
1. Become an Uber Eats Driver-partner
If you have a car and live in a relatively populated area, you can deliver food as an Uber Eats Driver-Partner.
There’s no prior professional driving experience necessary. The best part is that you choose when you want to work.
If you’re a stay-at-home parent with school-aged kids, you could do this for a few hours while your kids are at school.
If you work 9-5, you could make some money during your drive home.
You can even do this as a student as long as you’re at least 19 years old.
In some cities, you don’t even need a car!
Push bikes and scooters might be acceptable.
This is a great way to make money while getting exercise!
I wish this option was available when I was a student.
I used to work 4-8 hour shifts, 2 days a week at a movie store.
This was the minimum you could work.
I was struggling to balance school work and part-time work.
Uber Eats would have provided me with the flexibility to balance my time better.
Sign up to deliver with Uber Eats here.
You can use other food delivery apps as well if you don’t want to work with Uber Eats.
2. Drive for Uber or Lyft
Looking for a way to earn some extra money that gets you out of the house and out on adventure?
If you’re nodding your head, then you should absolutely consider driving for Uber or Lyft!
Driving for Uber or Lyft might just be the game-changer you’ve been looking for.
Imagine flipping your mundane errands into money-making missions – it’s like a productive playdate!
Or taking advantage of the hour you’ve got to kill between school drop-offs and ballet class.
Turn this otherwise useless time into a way to earn $100 fast.
3. Become an Airbnb host
If you live in a touristy area, rent out a spare room or your basement.
If you’re on an extended vacation, rent out your house!
Depending on where you live and neighboring Airbnb host rates, you could make $100 in just one night’s stay. I’ve met people that regularly pay their mortgage with their Airbnb income.
4. Bank promotions
Every year, the banks have free money sign-up bonuses for opening a checking account.
This year, we made $1200 just from opening up 4 bank accounts!
Opening up the account is easy.
You need to read through the terms.
Usually, you have to switch your payroll, pay a bill, or have a pre-authorized debit go through before they issue the bonus.
Sometimes you have to keep a minimum balance (to avoid paying monthly fees).
You often have to keep the account open for a certain period. Make sure you read the promotional fine print or ask the bank how long you have to keep your account open.
You usually don’t get the money right away. You have to wait for a few months before getting it.
The best part is that even when you withdraw the money and close the account, you can often apply to the same bank for another promo after a period of time (e.g. usually a few years).
The sign-up bonuses we applied for were $300/account.
This was the easiest way for how to make $300 in one day.
Unfortunately, this sign-up bonus has since expired. I’ve seen similar ones come back. Be on the lookout!
Here are a few excellent promotions occurring right now:
- If you’re in the U.S., you can attain up to $350 in bonuses when you open up accounts with Chase.
- If you’re in Canada, you can open a Tangerine chequing account. With a $250 deposit, you’ll earn a $50 bonus when you use this orange key: 35762624S1. Here’s my Tangerine Bank review and how to use the orange key to get the cash bonus.
5. Sell your stuff
In the summer, you can have a garage sale.
If you want to make the most amount of money for your possessions, you should consider selling things online to make money fast and easily.
We regularly sell things on Craigslist, Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, eBay, and VarageSale.
It’s a great way to get rid of clutter in the house and make a hundred dollars or more each month.
You can also sell your unused gift cards. If you sell them for less than what the remaining balance is, you’ll probably sell them fast and make money quickly!
It’s always a good idea to do research on your collectors and vintage items. People collect all types of things.
My mother-in-law is a tin collector and has bought an old tin for $20.
My husband collects bobbleheads often and buys them for $20-50 each.
Both of these items were initially free with the actual purchase.
My mother-in-law’s sister buys old rotary phones that don’t work. I’ve seen her purchase old phones for up to $100 for a phone.

If you’d rather sell items online, here’s an article on how to have an online yard sale and a post with a list of apps to sell your things online.
6. Rent out your stuff
How many rarely used items do you have laying around your house?
Think of all the tools in your shed, the cooking gear that gets used once a year, the ballgown that hasn’t been out in a decade.
Thanks to the internet, you can actually rent this stuff out now.
So, you don’t have to worry about selling anything – you’ll get it all back!
This is a great, low effort way to make $100 fast!
One thing I’ve rented out is a cupcake stand.
I got this clear, acrylic cupcake stand for my wedding. When I posted it for sale after the event, someone asked if they could just rent it so I charged them a rental fee. I could have continued renting it out and making $100 on it, but I ended up just selling it.
I’ve seen other people make a business out of renting out the following items, and make more than $100 per day:
- Bouncy castles (I know someone who rented this exact bouncy castle for her kid’s 3rd birthday for $100.)
- Themed decorations
- Giant yard games like Giant Jenga for special events
- High chairs (I rented a bunch of these for my wedding and paid around $100 for them).
7. Sell your skills through Fiverr
Whatever your skill or service is, you can often sell it through Fiverr.
I’ve seen people sell photos of their kid holding a sign-up that says Happy Birthday for $5.
I’ve seen video testimonials of products for $5.
Digital services often do well here, like graphic design, marketing, writing, translation, video, music, or programming.
There’s also Fiverr Pro, which is a top-quality, vetted pool of professionals offering all types of services.
I’ve heard the key to doing really well on Fiverr is to make your work automated. Set up a template that can be easily executed.
8. Become a freelance writer
If you enjoy writing or are at least good at it, this is one of the best ways to make some extra income.
Plus, there are so many different things you can write.
Some people are looking for ghostwriters for their blog posts.
You can even find magazines looking for writers or businesses that need white papers.
The nice thing is it’s easy to get started.
All you need is a portfolio of writing samples and a good internet connection.
You could do this as a side hustle in addition to your full-time job, but you can also do this as a stay-at-home mom or dad.
Just find a couple of quiet hours to work, like when your kids are napping, and you’ll be set.
9. Start a Virtual Assistant business
There are so many business owners and professionals that need help managing their inboxes, calendars, appointments, etc.
And even though a personal assistant is great, some business owners don’t want the additional expense of having an employee.
Virtual assistants are a win-win.
Since you’d be an independent contractor, they don’t have the stress of hiring an employee but can still get help with their simple tasks.
For you, it means you can earn an extra $100 or even more every month from the comfort of your own home.
Plus, you can decide your hours, which is great for us moms and dads!
Some people that might like to work with virtual assistants include real estate agents, bookkeepers, construction companies, teachers, etc.
Here are over 275 services you could offer as a Virtual Assistant.
If you’re interested in this field, Gina is an expert and talks about everything you need to know to become a virtual assistant here.
10. Create social media content
You’ll find many local businesses need help with their social media management, which is something you can do to make $100 fast.
An easy way is by creating templates for their business that they can use again and again.
But, some businesses will just want you to manage their social accounts permanently.
That’s even better because you can earn quick cash regularly for your family.
And you don’t even need to be a professional.
Platforms like Canva have templates that you can start with.
And there are so many free tutorials on YouTube that you can watch to learn.
11. Sell your designs
Selling your designs sounds like it requires graphic design skills and Photoshop expertise.
You don’t have to be a graphic designer to create designs that sell on Redbubble, which is an online marketplace selling designs on various products.
How it works:
- Designers start a shop and upload their designs (which is all free for you to do)
- Customers find a design on a product they want (the design can go on a shirt, pillow case, phone case etc.)
- Redbubble prints and ships it
- Designers get paid a 10-20% royalty
Redbubble handles all of the customer service (including complaints and returns) and marketing (including remarketing).
If you have an existing portfolio on your other social media accounts or website, you can indicate these on your shop page and build your customer base.
Become a designer on Redbubble.
12. Make passive income
Do you find yourself regularly needing a little extra boost in your bank account?
I get it; we all do!
One thing you can do to bring in some extra money here and there is to sell passive income products.
If you have something you’re good at doing, like playing musical instruments, cooking, fixing stuff, etc., you could make an online course to teach others how to do the same thing.
As moms and dads, we are the best at home and schedule organization.
If you have a system that you could turn into a printable that will help other moms, these can sell like hotcakes on Etsy. If you haven’t gotten started on Etsy yet, you can get your first 40 listings for FREE here.
You can also write eBooks to share something helpful.
These options require some extra effort, but there are other creative ways you can earn passive income.
13. Walk dogs or pet sit
If you love pets, dog walking or pet sitting is a fun option for making 100 dollars fast.
You can either advertise your services on local sites like Kijiji or connect with a national company like Rover.
Rover is the nation’s largest network connecting pet sitters/dog walkers and clients.
The advantage of going with Rover is not only getting access to clients, but having the “Rover Guarantee,” which is insurance coverage for certain injuries or damages occurring during the visit.
They also provide an online platform for payments and a 24/7 vet assistance support team.
You have the flexibility of setting your own schedule, pricing, and pet preferences.
Sign up to become a Rover Pet Sitter here.

14. Become a Mystery Shopper
Mystery shopping is a fun way to make money fast while getting paid to go shopping.
BestMark is a legit company offering mystery shops in the U.S. and Canada.
They pay cash for doing a mystery shop in person or over the phone, or online.
Some of their mystery shops involve getting your car’s oil changed or having a meal at a restaurant.
You would get paid for things you would normally do anyways!
You don’t need any experience. BestMark doesn’t require you to take a minimum number of shops each month.
BestMark also has a referral program. You can earn extra cash for people you refer who sign up and perform a shop.
Apply to be a BestMark mystery shopper.
15. Take Surveys
Are survey sites worth it?
Taking surveys is not going to make you rich.
If you have some spare time, surveys are easy to do. It’s a fast way to make a little extra money.
I’ve heard some people make $100 per month if they’re regularly participating with multiple survey companies.
If you like taking surveys and being able to voice your opinion and know that it’ll make a difference with brands and products, then taking surveys might be right up your alley.
When my little one was born, I had some time to kill while I was breastfeeding/watching television, so I signed up for a few survey companies.
I couldn’t believe how many scams there are available.
If you come across any survey company that asks you for money, don’t proceed.
Here are credible survey companies I’ve tried.
- Swagbucks
- Survey Club
- Survey Junkie (only in US, Canada, and Australia)
10. Use cash back apps
Cashback apps and sites are not the fastest ways to make $100.
They are one of the EASIEST ways to both make and save money online.
Here are the cashback apps and sites I use: Rakuten (formerly Ebates) (or Rakuten.ca if you’re Canadian), Dollar Dig, and Great Canadian Rebates (only in Canada).
They’re all free to sign up.
For Rakuten, when you sign up in the U.S., you’ll get a welcome bonus of $10 after making your first online purchase (more on that below)!
If you’re Canadian, sign up here at Rakuten.ca, where the welcome bonus is $5.
For Dollar Dig, there’s a $2.50 welcome bonus just for signing up!
An interesting thing about Great Canadian Rebates is that they have a “Credit Cards and Finance” section with cash-back rebates for savings accounts, credit cards, mortgages, etc.
Along with the welcome bonus that often comes with a credit card, for example, you get additional cash back.
17. Babysit
In my neighborhood with lots of young families, people are always looking for babysitters for date nights, anniversaries, PA days, and before and after school during the week.
Not everyone has grandparents, family members, or friends that can help.
Babysitters are in high demand.
They’re often needed right away without time to plan because kids get sick and things happen unexpectedly at work or at school.
I find people looking for babysitters all the time in local moms and dads groups on Facebook. There’s also a local babysitter group on Facebook for my community.
If they have multiple kids or want someone also to do cleaning or errands, you can probably make 100 dollars fast.
If you’re interested in babysitting, I would check for people looking for babysitters in local Facebook groups.
18. Offer housecleaning
Families and busy professionals are always on the hunt for reliable and efficient cleaners who can wave their magic wands and make their spaces shine.
And what’s great – you can set your own hours, making it easy to balance with your mom or dad duties.
So, if you’re ready to turn your cleaning skills into cold hard cash, let your inner neat freak out and embark on a cleaning adventure that pays off in more ways than one!
Another advantage to doing homecleaning to make an extra $100 is that you can bring your kids with you and set them up with some coloring, or you can do it alone and enjoy the peace and quiet while you listen to music or your favorite podcast.
19. Mow a lawn or shovel snow
Depending on the time of year, if you mow multiple lawns or shovel snow from multiple driveways, you can probably get 100 dollars fast.
To get started, I recommend posting your services on a local Facebook group.
Just make sure you outline in your post where you’re willing to offer your service – the specific streets or neighborhood and you’ll be driving or walking your lawn mower or snow blower or shovel to that location.
20. Rent out an extra parking space
Do you live in an area where parking is in high demand?
If yes, and you’ve got the extra space, renting out a spot to park is a great way to earn easy money.
Not only does it require little effort from you, but it can be an ongoing revenue stream for you and your family.
To find people to rent your parking space, you could put up flyers, post in Facebook Marketplace, or even just let your friends and family know to see if anyone needs the parking space.
This doesn’t even just have to be for cars.
I’m sure you know someone who needs a place to store their camper, boat, trailer, etc.
21. Rent out your extra space
Got an extra room in your house?
What about the basement that mostly goes unused?
There are so many families who find themselves short on storage, and you can provide them with an easy peasy solution.
Think about what areas of your house, or even your garage or shed, that go unused.
Then, put out some feelers to your friends and family.
I would be willing to bet you know someone, or your friends and family do, who would be more than happy to pay $100 to get some extra storage space!
22. Help with market research or focus groups
Are you ready to turn your everyday experiences into real cash?
Your insights are like gold to companies aiming to improve their offerings, and they’re willing to reward you generously for your time and opinions.
You can do this by participating in focus groups or market research!
So, if you’re up for some engaging conversations that lead to more than just tea and tales, jump into the world of market research and let your mom wisdom pay off!
23. Sell unused gift cards
How many gift cards are taking up space in your wallet?
Even though these are technically money, it’s not real cash you can use when you’re in a pinch.
But, you can turn them into cash!
Consider selling them for slightly less than their value.
If you’ve got a couple of these laying around, you can easily make $100.
I’ve seen people selling these on Facebook Marketplace, but you can also check with your friends or family if they’d have any use for them.
24. Cancel unused subscriptions
Okay, this one won’t add any cash to your actual bank account.
But, saved money is still money!
And, you’d be surprised how easy it can be to find an extra $100 in your budget when you look through your subscriptions.
(You can do this with any of your spending really.)
Consider temporarily canceling some subscriptions, like your gym membership, streaming services, etc.
25. Tutor kids online
Whether you’re a math whiz, a history buff, or a grammar guru, there are kids out there who could benefit from your guidance.
The best part?
You get to choose your schedule, making it a seamless addition to your already-packed routine.
Imagine helping a struggling student crack that challenging concept, all while earning some extra money for your family.
That’s a great feeling!
You can work with young kids all the way up to college students – just depending on your preferences and expertise!

Thanks for stopping by the website, Lorie! All the best on your financial freedom journey!
You can not make 300 in a day by signing up with a bank. It takes time. You have to do what they want and keep it in for a time and then you get the money. So it is not a quick way to get100 or 300. I have done it about 10 times and never got my money until about the 3rd month. Not knocking the game because I love doing it. Just saying if I need 100 today it is not happening with banks. Also if I really needed the 100 I would not have the money to deposit to get the 100.
You’re right! This strategy takes time. You have to leave the money in the bank for a few months before you can get access to it. Thanks for leaving your comment!
I really need a side job.
A side job is an excellent way to supplement your income and even make 100 dollars fast! Best of luck on your side job hunt!
I need the money thank you
Best of luck with your money situation! It’s definitely possible to make 100 dollars fast. If you try out a few of these options in the same day, you can possibly make even more than 100 dollars that day!
